Making donations to the School

Making a donation is easier than you think and a powerful way to make your own statement about the importance of preserving the art of wooden boatbuilding and other traditional maritime crafts.

Ways to donate

  • Cash donations

Cash donations are the most immediate way you can help to support our School programs.

  • Donating vessels to the School

We accept charitable contributions of vessels to use in our programs or sell outright to generate funds for capacity building, campus development and operational expenses. These donations are tax deductible subject to certain rules. See how you can make a contribution to the School through boat donations.

  • Corporate matching gifts

Make your gift mean twice as much. Corporations will often match gifts made by employees, officers, directors, and in some cases spouses and/or retired employees, officers, or directors. Many companies have adopted corporate matching gift plans to help support nonprofit organizations. Consult your company’s personnel or community relations department for guidelines.

  • In-kind contributions

Donations of goods and services are valuable resources for the School. In-kind donations can be professional services such as engineering, landscaping, or accounting services. Donation of goods can be various materials such as supplies, tools and vehicles.

Please contact the School to plan your donation of good or services.
