The breadth of opportunities for you to volunteer your time and talents has never been broader and the need never greater than today!

Volunteer opportunities

  • Volunteer coordinator

    Develop a system of tracking, recruiting, rewarding and managing our growing volunteer corps

  • Retail manager

    Work with Business Manager on developing a system that can be run primarily by volunteer efforts

  • Library manager

    Our library houses over 1,200 volumes on a wide variety of maritime subjects and several collections of periodicals. Volunteer to help develop overall library functions.

  • Library assistant

    Assist with library, reshelf books, organize magazines, in-process new books for library

  • Docents

    Giving tours of facility to visitors

  • Fundraising

    Grant research, develop donation materials, database management

  • General office help

    Answering phones, mailings, filing, data entry

  • General grounds maintenance

    Planting, pruning, clean up, painting

  • Shop Steward

    Tool maintenance, minor electrical work (tools, etc.)

  • Donation pick ups

    Help us pick up donations at various locations
